Sussex Borough drops open government initiative

Some time back, NJFOG officer and well-known open government advocate John Paff visited Sussex Borough at the Mayor’s request to help them write up an amendment to their administrative code establishing open government practices. Unfortunately, the Borough let it drop after the Mayor became a Freeholder, and the New Jersey Herald lambasted the Borough in this recent editorial. The proposed code would have included, among other things, making meeting materials available online.
