Hunterdon Freeholders cite security concerns with posting meeting audios online

The Hunterdon County freeholder majority wants to wait on a “45-day technology security review” to decide if they will post audio recordings of their public meetings on the county website. Some freeholders have expressed concern about manipulation and distribution of the audios. However, the freeholders’ meeting documents that are currently posted online can also be downloaded and shared. Also, no part of an open public meeting is private, so materials can and should be shared freely.
