N.J. pays gun rights group $100K in State Police permit case

A gun rights group seeking info about the state’s background check process has received “heavily redacted” documents after a multi-year fight to get them. The group, represented by Montclair attorney Richard Gutman, is appealing and says its goal is to better inform its members how to comply with the law due to inconsistency in the application process around the state.
