“OPRA/OPMA: Important Information for Citizen Activists”

 

The Southern Burlington County NAACP has invited the New Jersey Foundation for Open Government (NJFOG) to present at its Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017, 7:00 PM meeting as part of the Chapter’s Social Justice Advocacy Series devoted to highlighting the different ways and tools of advocacy for justice.

The program “OPRA/OPMA: Important Information for Citizen Activists” will feature attorney Walter Luers, who will discuss the Open Public Records and Meetings Acts (OPRA and OPMA), court cases affecting access, and pending legislation designed to modernize the statutes.

The presentation will begin at 7:00 PM and will run approximately 30-45 minutes, followed by a short break before the start of the NAACP Chapter’s regular business meeting.

Location:  Bethel AME Church, 512 N. Church Street, Moorestown, NJ 08057. There are parking lots on both sides of the building. Facing the front, enter the door on the far left and proceed straight down the hallway into the community room.

The program is open to the general public.  Please join us!

Handouts will be provided.
