We wish to report that the OPRA counts, which include making redactions to closed session minutes without sufficient explanation, have been settled in NJFOG’s favor. The case has resulted in the release of documents with far fewer redactions.
The case is progressing with regard to the OPMA counts, for which NJFOG is seeking a summary judgment.
This case is one of a growing number of “affirmative litigation” lawsuits brought by NJFOG for the public’s benefit in order to give teeth and clarity to the OPMA and OPRA laws and to increase compliance by public agencies statewide.
